 In-situ method of hydrogen production test includes steps of accessing the depleted subsurface reservoir with residual hydrocarbon saturation by means of a vertical or horizontal well, conducting a first test using our tool to determine residual hydrocarbon saturation, and conducting a second test to determine in-situ hydrogen production capacity of the subsurface reservoir.
